€140,000 for Yeats 3yo

Yeats has enjoyed a great run on the racecourse and in the sale ring in recent weeks and that continued at Goffs on Wednesday on day one of the Land Rover Sale.

Leading the way was a three-year-old offered from Derrymore House who realised €140,000 when selling to trainer Ian Ferguson. The gelding is out of a sibling to several classy performers, including the useful hurdler and chaser Wahiba Sands.

"We were delighted to get him," Ferguson told the Racing Post. "Yeats is showing he's an up-and-coming sire and this horse was the standout of the day."
