First foal for Classic winner Santiago

Irish Derby-Gr.1 and Royal Ascot Gr.2 winner Santiago sired his first foal on Monday night when Bestow produced a filly at Ballincurrig House Stud.

“She’s a gorgeous bay filly with quality, bone and size,” said owner Michael Moore. “We are delighted with her.” Bestow is a daughter of Presenting and a half-sister to Operating, winner of the €100,000 Aon Handicap Novice Chase (Grade A) at Punchestown.

Santiago, who stands at Coolmore’s Castlehyde Stud, is a Derby winner like his sire Authorized, grandsire Montjeu and relatives Galileo and Sea The Stars.
