G1 glory for Yeats
There was a G1 success for Yeats on Sunday when Capivari (4g Yeats-Plique A Jour, by Hernando) triumphed in Auteuil.
The Francois Cottin-trained four-year-old, who also won in Listed company at the same course in September, marked himself at the forefront of his generation when winning the G1 Prix Renaud du Vivier over hurdles.
“I am delighted,” Cottin told JDG. “He was a real fighter. He travelled very well and adapted to the ground, as I thought he would beforehand. I have always liked him.”
