Game Getaway Mare Scores On Rules Debut
Lets Go To Vegas (4f Getaway - Danielle’s Journey, by Presenting) produced a game performance to make a winning rules debut in the mares’ maiden hurdle at Market Rasen on Thursday.
Last seen finishing second in a four-year-old mares maiden for Thomas Byrne, the daughter of Getaway was ridden by Johnny Burke on her first start for Alastair Ralph. The bay raced prominently throughout the two mile contest and was shaken up approaching the second last. Pushed along from the final flight, she was soon headed, but battled back to regain the advantage inside the final furlong and led by three parts of a length on the line. The favourite, a point-to-point winner, finished second and finished 15 lengths clear of the field.
Lets Go To Vegas is the first foal bred by Ms E. Hamilton out of Danielle’s Journey, whose three-year-old by Getaway was bought by Monbeg Stables earlier this year.
