Getaway filly Verdana lands Killarney bumper
Nina Carberry steered Verdana Blue (4f Getaway-Blue Gallery, by Bluebird) to take the concluding bumper at Killarney on Monday evening and get on the scoresheet for Getaway.
It was a treble success for Co. Cork-based Edmond Kent as he trained, bred and owned the easy winner, and he has high hopes that she can go on to bigger things.
"She is a nice mare and I've always liked her and think a lot of her,” said Kent. "She'll go places but what happens next I don't know but I'll try sell her if I can.”
Getaway has already had plenty of first crop success with 4YO P2P winners including Getabird - 4 length P2P winner, sold for €200,000 at Goffs Punchestown to H Kirk/W Mullins, Talkischeap - 6 length P2P winner on debut, Agamemmon - 8 length P2P winner, All Currencies - 3 length P2P winner on debut etc.
