Getaway Mare Makes Perfect Start For New Stable
Whosgotyanow (5m Getaway - Park Athlete, by Supreme Leader) impressed on her first start for the Andrew Slattery stable, when running out an easy winner of Friday’s Mares Maiden Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
A promising fourth on debut for Henry de Bromhead, the Dr Ronan Tynan-owned bay stepped up to two and a half miles on her stable debut. Leading from the early stages under Cathal Landers, she was the last horse to come under pressure and kept on well on the run-in to win by five lengths. Belles Benefit (Leading Light) and Hophornbeam (Yeats) completed a 1-2-3 for Coolmore NH sires.
Whosgotyanow was bred by Brendan Laffan out of a half-sister to The Listener and Offshore Account (Oscar).
