Grade 2 Aim For Unbeaten Hurdler By Getaway
Endless Escape (7m Getaway - Endless Wave, by Poliglote) will step up to Graded company after making it three from three over hurdles at Ffos Las.
Placed between the flags for Donnchadh Doyle, the daughter of Getaway ran out an impressive winner against geldings on her first start for Ben Clarke in November. A wide margin winner next time out, she took on geldings once again in Monday’s two mile Novices’ Hurdle and was ridden prominently by Ben Jones. Ridden from the second last, she led on the run-in and kept on well to beat the well-regarded favourite Vicki Vale (Westerner) by two lengths.
“We'll head to Sandown next month for the Jane Seymour,” Clarke later revealed. “That was the plan heading coming here today - I just hoped she'd run well enough to justify going there. She wants further so Sandown should suit her nicely.”
Bred by Maurice Smiddy, Endless Escape is owned by Butler, Langford, Tootell and The Hecks.
