Impressive Hurdle Debut By Getaway Mare

Yellow Dockets (6m Getaway - Soft Skin, by Rudimentary) provided a quick return to her new owners, Grech and Parkin, when winning her hurdle debut at Warwick on New Year’s Eve.

The Nicky Henderson-trained mare had shown promise in both her bumpers and was having her first start since May, since which she had been purchased privately. Ridden to lead by Nico de Boinville, the chestnut tackled the two mile and five furlong contest with enthuasiasm and was shaken up with two flights left to jump. Ridden out, she scored by five lengths, as the favourite finished second.

Bred by J Duggan, Yellow Dockets first hinted at her ability between the flags, finishing second on her sole start for Pat Collins at Lisronagh.
