Meep Meep Mag (Getaway) Wins At Loughanmore

Latest Getaway Success Is A Family Affair

Meep Meep Mag (5m Getaway - Deadly Pursuit, by Subtle Power) built on a promising debut earlier in the month to win Saturday’s Mares Maiden at Loughanmore.

It was a family affair, with the winner’s store purchaser Luke Murphy taking the ride for his father John Murphy, who owns the bay mare in partnership with Miriam Murphy. Previously third to Mt Leinster Gold in a similar contest at Dawstown, she was sent off favourite of 13 runners and was ridden to track the leaders for much of the way. Travelling well approaching the third last, she led after the next and easily extended her advantage to five lengths on the line.

Meep Meep Mag was bred by KP O’Driscoll and becomes the first winner out of her unraced dam, a half-sister to Kerry National winner Ponmeoath (Flemensfirth). Irish Grand national hero Numbersixvalverde and multiple Graded winner I’msingingtheblues feature further down the page.
