Vienna Court (Mahler) Wins The Grade 3 Chase At Cheltenham

Mahler Mare Lands Grade 3 Cheltenham Chase

The progressive Vienna Court (7m Mahler - Gales Present, by Presenting) defied a rise in the weights to land the Grade 3 Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day.

Up 12 pounds for her easy course and distance win, the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained bay was given a similar ride by Sam Twiston-Davies, who positioned her at the back of the field. Making headway from five out, she led at the penultimate fence and was ridden out to score by a length and three quarters, as the leading pair drew 10 lengths clear of the field.

Owned by James and Jean Potter, Vienna Court was bred by Colman O’Flynn Junior.
