Mahler mare wins bumper for Mullins

Escape Footwear (5m Mahler-Dolly Dove, by Gran Alba) easily won her first start for Willie Mullins in a bumper at Limerick on Thursday evening. A point-to-point winner in April for Colin Bowe, the daughter of Mahler was well-backed on this first run for Mullins, going on to score by four lengths. "She was very professional and Colin Bowe had done a great job teaching her before we got her,” said winning rider Patrick Mullins. "She could run in a winners' bumper if one comes up at the right time."
