More To Come From Mahler Mare After Maiden Hurdle Win

Annie Odds (5m Mahler - Taking My Time, by High Roller) took the eye when winning the competitive Mares Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel on Thursday.

Ridden mid-division of 18 runners by Jack Doyle, the chestnut mare was travelling well in fifth from the third last hurdle and continued to improve into third from the next. Chasing the leading pair into the final hurdle, she ran on well down the near side to beat the favourite Gipsy Lee Rose (Walk In The Park) by half a length.

"Annie Odds has always shown plenty of ability at home, it's just taken time for her to produce it on the track. I thought she would improve for her last run and I think she's up to Listed class.” trainer, James King.
