More To Come From Maiden Hurdle Winner Bold Getaway

The progressive Bold Getaway (5g Getaway - Queen’s Forest, by King’s Theatre) gained a deserved success in Tuesday’s maiden hurdle at Limerick.

Runner-up in a point-to-point and a bumper, the Gordon Elliott-trained bay chased the leaders under Jordan Gainford and was asked to quicken from two out. Leading approaching the final flight, he was ridden out to win by three and a half lengths.

Speaking after the race, Gainford commented, “Bold Getaway is a grand big horse and is one to look forward to.”

Owned by Jimmy Fyffe, the son of Getaway was bred by Mrs Norah Ahern.
