Progressive Son Of Maxios Makes Successful Step Up In Class
Wild Max (5g Maxios - Wildfahrte, by Mark Of Esteem) continues to go from strength to strength over hurdles and on Saturday ran out a clear winner of the Class 2 bet365 Handicap Hurdle at Doncaster.
The German recruit won his first two starts over hurdles for Paul Nicholls and most recently received a six pound rise for justifying favoritism at Huntingdon. Sent off second favourite on his latest start, the bay chased the leaders under Angus Cheleda and led from three out, before racing clear to win by nine and a half lengths.
Wild Max is now four from six for Nicholls, while he also won twice on the flat in Germany. Bred by Gestut Brummerhof, he hails from the first crop of Castlehyde Stud sire Maxios.
