Promising Son Of Mahler Makes Winning Rules Debut

Record High (5g Mahler- Leapy Lady, by Beneficial) made a perfect start for new connections when landing Sunday’s bumper at Fontwell.

A promising debut second in a four-year-old maiden for Michael Murphy, the son of Mahler was later sold privately to Suzy Smith and Wallace Racing, for whom he made his rules debut. Racing towards the back of the field under Michael Nolan, he made headway from three furlongs out and was pushed along a furlong later. Ridden to lead inside the final furlong, he kept on well to win by a length and a half.

Record High is the first foal bred by Sean O’Reilly out of the mare Leapy Lady.
