Promising Walk In The Park Mare Delivers On Rules Debut
Micronormous (4f Walk In The Park - Foxy Lauren, by Old Vic) shaped like a smart prospect when making a winning rules debut against geldings in Monday’s bumper at Exeter.
The daughter of Walk In The Park was recruited by David Pipe after finishing a promising third on her sole start for Harley Dunne and was one of just two fillies to line up in a field of 14 on Monday. Positioned in midfield by Tom Scudamore, she made headway on the turn for home and improved to lead from two furlongs out. Soon ridden, she dug deep to deny €85,000 buy Big Fish (Flemensfirth) by a neck, with another six lengths back to the even-money favourite in third.
Micronormous becomes the first winner bred by Thomas Hore out of Foxy Lauren.
