Promising Walk In The Park Mare Gets Off The Mark
Kiltealy Park (5m Walk In The Park – Mohboss, by Lahib) dug deep to gain a deserved win in the mares’ maiden hurdle at Wexford on Thursday.
The daughter of Walk In The Park placed on all her starts in point-to-points for Colin Bowe and was narrowed denied on her rules debut for Paul Nolan at Punchestown in January. Reunited with Sean Flanagan on Thursday, she raced prominently throughout and produced a challenge at the second last. Ridden to lead soon after, she kept on well on the run-in to win by half a length, with another length and a half back to Long Gone (Getaway) in third.
Kiltealy Park is owned by the Browne Bros partnership and was bred by Wiyi Bloodstock.
