Rosie future for Getaway 5yo

Jockey Sam Twiston-Davies predicted a big future for Getaway’s unbeaten son One For Rosie (5g Getaway-Whisky Rose, by Old Vic) after an impressive winning hurdling debut at Carlisle on Sunday.

Trained by the jockey’s father Nigel for Paul and Clare Rooney, the five-year-old won a Bangor bumper on his only previous start last season.

He powered clear by five lengths in the 2m 4f contest and the winning rider commented: “One For Rosie is a proper horse. We've not been able to get much schooling into him as he hits the ground quite hard. He's nowhere near the finished article.”
