Smart Son Of Mahler Adds Novice Hurdle Win To CV
Sleeping Satelite (5g Mahler - Aneda Dubh, by Presenting) produced a smart performance to justify favouritism in Monday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Carlisle.
The son of Mahler won his sole start for Colin Bowe as a four-year-old, before joining the Donald McCain team and made a winning rules debut in a bumper in November. Racing over two miles and one furlong on Monday, the bay was ridden prominently by Brian Hughes and led from two out. Pushed out to the line, he scored by two lengths from fellow bumper winner Dunnet Head.
Sleeping Satelite was bred by George Lane.
