Sneaky Getaway Continues Fine Run With Impressive Flat Win
Sneaky Getaway (6g Getaway - Aguida, by Kahyasi) added a flat win to his two successes in bumpers when taking the mile and seven furlong maiden at Leopardstown on Thursday evening.
Ridden in mid-division by Patrick Mullins, the bay was travelling well in third two furlongs out and improved to lead soon after, running on strongly to win by three and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Emmet Mullins commented after the race, ““We’re delighted with that, and he’s won three races now since Easter. He’s achieved a lot more than our wildest dreams. He may go to Galway and we’ll see what the (flat) handicapper does with him.”
Sneaky Getaway is owned by Mrs Margaret O’Rourke and E Hogan, and was bred by MW and Mrs M Doran out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Astonville.
