Sneaky Getaway Wins At Limerick

Sneaky Getaway Secures Back To Back Wins

Sneaky Getaway (6g Getaway - Aguida, by Kahyasi) looked a class above his rivals when justifying favoritism in the bumper at Limerick on Thursday evening.

Successful last time out at Cork over two miles and three furlongs, he dropped back in trip to two miles to complete the double. Leading in the early stages, the bay was headed with six furlongs left to race, but Patrick Mullins was happy to track the leader until the two furlong marker, where he asserted the advantage. Quickening clear approaching the final furlong, he ran on well to win by six lengths, with a further five lengths back to the third horse.

Winning trainer Emmet Mullins commented after the race, “He's a nice horse to look forward to and it was great to get a winner's bumper out of him. Patrick said he's improved again since Clonmel, where he rode him.”

Sneaky Getaway is owned by Mrs Margaret O’Rourke and E Hogan, and was bred by MW and Mrs M Doran.
