Son Of Getaway Draws Clear On Debut

The future looks bright for Feronily (5g Getaway - Vickeeto, by Old Vic), after Ellmarie Holden’s newcomer ran out an impressive winner of Sunday’s five-year-old maiden at Rathcannon.

The son of Getaway was sent off favourite under Derek O’Connor, who rode the bay to chase the leaders. Leading from three out, he boasted a five lengths advantage at the final fence and ran on well to score by ten lengths.

Owned by Catherine Holden and bred by Thomas O’Brien, Feronily is expected to return to the sales ring.
