One For Rosie (Getaway) Wins The Novices Chase At Carlisle

Son Of Getaway Extends Perfect Chase Record

The Kim Bailey-trained One For Rosie (8g Getaway - Whisky Rose, by Old Vic) made it two from two over fences when justifying favoritism in Sunday’s Novices’ Chase at Carlisle.

Grade 3 placed over hurdles for Nigel Twiston-Davies, the grey made an impressive start for Bailey when winning by all of 20 lengths at Leicester. Sent off favourite to follow up, he made all under David Bass and was five lengths clear at the third last. Pushed along from the next, he was ridden out on the run-in to score by a length and a half, as the front pair drew clear of the third.

One For Rosie was bred by Distillery Stud out of Whisky Rose, who has a four-year-old filly by Ocovango.
