Son Of Getaway Goes One Better

The Philip Hobbs-trained Masters Legacy (4g Getaway - Gently Go, by Milan) built on a promising debut to run out a smart winner of Thursday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Taunton.

Last month, he finished second over course and distance to Wild Max (Maxios), who boosted the form with a second win on Thursday’s card. Michael Nolan rode Masters Legacy to track the leader, improving to lead at the second last and stayed on well to win by four and a half lengths, the favourite relegated to second.

Owned by Mrs P Bosley, Masters Legacy was bred by Robin Harold-Barry. Being out of a Milan mare, the son of Getaway is bred on the same cross as Grade 3 winner Talkischeap.
