Son Of Getaway Keeps It Simple On Rules Debut
Benign Dictator (4g Getaway - Canto Creak, by Beat All) made a winning start under rules when leading home a 1-2 for Coolmore NH sires in Saturday’s bumper at Uttoxeter.
Making his first start for the Olly Murphy stable, the son of Getaway raced in midfield under Fergus Gregory and began to make headway from four furlongs out. Ridden to lead approaching the final furlong, he ran on well to repeal Delta Run (Ocovango) by two and a quarter lengths on the line.
Benign Dictator was bred by Ballyhampshire Stud out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winning hurdler Mwaleshi (Oscar).
The following day at Wexford, the Denis Murphy-trained Dontyawantme (4f Getaway - Glory Queen) made a successful debut in the four-year-old mares maiden under Luke Murphy. The promising mare was bred by Maurice O’Brien.
