Son Of Getaway Leads Them Home At Belclare

The Sam Curling owned and trained Hens Tooth (5g Getaway - Sagabolley, by Sagamix) defied testing conditions to win Sunday’s maiden for five and six-year-olds at Belclare point-to-point.

Fourth on debut last month, the son of Getaway was ridden by Derek O’Connor on his second start and tracked the leader for much of the way. Disputing from four out, he asserted after the second last and kept on well to win by two and a half lengths.

Bred by Thomas McGrath, Hens Tooth sold at the store sales for €90,000.
