Son Of Getaway Makes All To Win Rules Debut
Point-to-point winner One True King (5g Getaway - Final Leave, by Glacial Storm) made an impressive start under rules when running out a clear winner of Thursday’s bumper at Ludlow.
Successful at Barbury for Cormac Doyle in December, the chesnut is now owned and trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and lined up for the mile and six furlong contest under Sam Twiston-Davies. He made all the running, as he had at Barbury, and went clear approaching the final furlong. Staying on strongly, he scored by seven and a half lengths.
One True King was bred by Joe Fogarty and cost Monbeg Stables €40,000 as a three-year-old. The son of Grange Stud sire Getaway is out of a half-sister to Listed performer Mary’s Manna.
