Son Of Getaway Makes Bright Start Over Hurdles

Alien Storm (4g Getaway - Missusan, by King’s Ride) built on two promising performances in bumpers to make a winning hurdle debut at Plumpton on Monday.

Placed on his two previous starts, Charlie Longsden’s charge contest three previous winners in the novices’ hurdle over two miles. Racing prominently throughout under Paul O’Brien, he produced a challenge at the second last and was soon in front. The bay showed signs of inexperience approaching the final flight, but kept on well to win by four and a quarter lengths.

There should be more to come from the son of Getaway, who was bred by Railside Farm.
