Son Of Getaway Not For Catching In Maiden Hurdle
Way Out (6g Getaway - Send To War, by Sendawar) built on previous promise to run out a clear winner of Tuesday’s maiden hurdle at Fakenham.
Owned and trained by Syd Hosie, the son of Getaway had previously been placed in two bumpers and twice over hurdles. Dropping back to two and a half miles at Fakenham, he made all under Micheal Nolan and was ridden from the second last. Clear from the final flight, he kept on well to win by 15 lengths.
It marked a second career win for Way Out, who won a Lingstown maiden last year for Jonathan Fogarty. He becomes the second winner bred by Eamonn Bracken out of Send To War.
