Son Of Getaway Wins Maiden Hurdle On Return
Impressive bumper winner Carcaci Castle (6g Getaway - Hakuna, by Saddlers’ Hall) made a winning return to action in Sunday’s maiden hurdle at Kelso.
The son of Getaway was last seen running out a 15 length winner of a Bellewstown bumper for Colin Bowe and made his first start for the Sandy Thomson stable on Sunday. Racing in touch with the leaders, he was shaken up at the second last and was ridden to lead at the final flight. Keeping on well on the run-in, he won by three parts of a length under Jamie Hamilton.
Bred by Don Commins, Carcaci Castle is owned by Mrs Thomson with Mr and Mrs McPherson.
