Son Of Kingston Hill Scores On Hurdle Debut
Irish Hill (3g Kingston Hill - Irresistable, by Monsun) made a perfect start for the Paul Nicholls stable in Thursday’s Juvenile Hurdle at Taunton.
The son of Kingston Hill was purchased privately after winning two of his four starts on the flat, including a Class 2 contest at Longchamp, and was sent off the even money favourite on his first start in the colours of Sir Martin Broughton. Tracking the leaders under Harry Cobden, he was ridden approaching the penultimate flight and led at the last. Ridden out on the run-in, he scored by two lengths, with the runner-up drawing 20 lengths clear of the field.
Bred and previously raced by Gestut Hachtsee, Irish Hill hails from the second crop of Castlehyde Stud sire Kingston Hill.
