Son Of Mahler Adds Grade 2 To Impressive CV

Manofthemountain (8g Mahler - Womanofthemountain, by Presenting) added to his fine record over fences when landing Wednesday’s feature at Cheltenham, the Grade 2 Ballymore Silver Trophy.

The Emma Lavelle-trained bay came into the race with four wins from eight starts over fences and was last seen claiming runners-up honours at Kempton. He jumped well throughout the two and a half mile contest and made smooth headway from three out. Leading from two out, he was ridden approaching the final fence and ran on strongly to score by four and a half lengths under Tom Bellamy.

Owned by Paul Jacobs and bred by Gabriel Fahy, Manofthemountain is a full-brother to three-time winner Battle Of Midway (Mahler).
