Son Of Mahler Adds Maiden Hurdle Win To Resume
The Kim Bailey-trained Chazza (6g Mahler - Presenting Proform, by Presenting) rallied gamely to land the two mile maiden hurdle at Bangor on Wednesday afternoon.
Ciaran Gethings rode the bay to lead and was headed approaching the last, but his mount battled back gamely and kept on well on the run-in to get up close home. The winning margin was half a length, with another five and a half lengths back to the favourite in third.
A five length winner of a four-year-old maiden at Lingstown, the son of Mahler made a winning start for the Bailey stable in a bumper last November, before finishing second on his hurdle debut in March.
Bred by John Havlin, he is a half-brother to six-time winner Westland Row (Oscar).
