Son Of Mahler Completes Hat-Trick In Style

Aughafatten (5g Mahler - Olivia Rose, by Mujadil) drew clear to complete a hat-trick of wins the Saturday’s bumper at Stratford.

The Gerard Quinn-trained bay won a five-year-old maiden at Ballingarry in May and returned to make a winning rules debut at Perth last month. Sent off favourite to follow up under a penalty, he travelled strongly throughout under D McGill and led approaching the final furlong. Ridden clear soon after, he kept on well to score by seven lengths.

Owned by PJ McBurney and bred by Mrs Deborah Hobson, Aughafatten is a full-brother to Graded chaser Delusionofgrandeur (Mahler).
