Son Of Mahler Gains Deserved Win Over Hurdles

The Dan Skelton-trained Northofthewall (5g Mahler - Sherchanceit, by Norwich) gained a well-deserved win over hurdles at Hereford on Thursday.

The Winter Gold Racing-owned bay was sent off joint-favourite for the two mile maiden hurdle, following three placings this season. Harry Skelton positioned him in midfield, improving from three out and was ridden to lead from the second last flight. Soon clear, he ran on well to win by 11 lengths.

Northofthewall was bred by Mrs Mary O’Connor, who trained his dam to win twice over hurdles.
