Son Of Mahler Makes All To Impressive Chase Success

Northofthewall (6g Mahler - Sherchanceit, by Norwich) made all to run out an impressive winner of Tuesday’s Beginners’ Chase at Uttoxeter.

Racing over two and a half miles under Harry Skelton, Dan Skelton’s charge was shaken up and raced clear from two out, before being eased down to score by ten lengths.

Speaking after the race, the winning rider said, “He was big and bold at several fences lengthened away well. He's a nice horse and progressed nicely as the season went on last year. On the back of this, hopefully he can keep going forward.”

Owned by Winter Gold Racing, Northofthewall adds to three wins over hurdles last season. Bred by Mrs Mary O’Connor, he continues a terrific run for Beeches Stud sire Mahler.
