Son Of Mahler Makes Perfect Start For New Connections
Point-to-point winner Sleeping Satellite (4g Mahler - Aneda Dubh, by Presenting) led home a 1-2 for Coolmore NH sires in Monday’s bumper at Catterick.
A debut winner of a four-year-old maiden for Colin Bowe, the son of Mahler was sent off favourite to make a winning start under rules for Donald McCain and the Good Stock Syndicate. Ridden prominently by Brian Hughes, he was ridden to challenge approaching the two furlong marker and led a furlong later. Keeping on well, he won by half a length from Tipperary Star (Getaway), who had finished a promising third on debut at Aintree last month.
Sleeping Satellite was bred by George Lane.
