Son Of Mahler Makes Winning Debut at Dromahane

The Pat Doyle-trained Frontier General (4g Mahler - Lady Zephyr, by Toulon) shaped like a smart prospect when making a winning debut at Dromahane on Sunday.

One of ten to line up for the Tattersalls Cheltenham Four-Year-Old Geldings Maiden, the bay led or disputed throughout under Pa King. Gaining the upper hand at the final fence, he kept on well on the run in to beat Dream In The Park (Walk In The Park) by a length and a half; the pair drawing ten lengths clear of the field.

Owned by Mary Doyle, Frontier General was bred by Noel Doyle out of Grade 2 hurdler Lady Zephyr.
