Son Of Mahler Remains Perfect Over Fences
The Mick Channon-trained Glen Forsa (6g Mahler - Outback Ivy, by Bob Back) ran out an impressive winner of the 32Red.com Chase at Kempton’s Boxing Day meeting.
The T.P. Radford-owned bay was extending his chase record to two from two, and looked a natural jumper on Wednesday, taking the lead at the tenth fence and staying on well all the while to win readily.
A delighted Mick Channon commented after the race, “Glen Forsa jumped beautifully today and that's what really made him win the race. As they turned into the straight he looked to have the race won. We would like to go down the same route (as Mister Whitaker) and run in the Close Brothers.”
Bred by Jonathan Deacon, Glen Forsa sold to Rathfolan Farm for €33,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale.
