Son Of Mahler Wins Maiden Hurdle Unchallenged
The Philip Hobbs-trained Keep Rolling (7g Mahler - Kayles Castle, by Good Thyne) made an impressive return to action in Thursday’s maiden hurdle at Hereford.
Absent for a year, the son of Mahler was sent off a short-priced favourite for the two and a half mile contest and was ridden to make all by Richard Johnson. 12 lengths clear approaching the second last, the chesnut was unchallenged as he strode home 17 lengths clear of his rivals.
Owned by the Mick Fitzgerald Racing Club and bred by Michael Hennessy, Keep Rolling adds to his earlier career success in a bumper.
