Thursday saw bumper winner Altobelli (4g Maxios - Atiana, by Samum) make a winning start over hurdles at Ffos Las.

Trained by Harry Fry for Charlie Walker and Jonny Craib, the four-year-old ran out a clear winner on debut last season and was sent off favourite on return in the maiden hurdle. Racing prominently under Bryan Carver, he led from three out and kept on well from the final flight to win by a length and three quarters.
