Henry Box Brown (Getaway) Wins On Debut At Wexford

Straightforward Debut Success For Son Of Getaway

Henry Box Brown (4g Getaway - Lough Coyne, by Bob Back) provided trainer Shane O’Brien with his first winner under rules when making a winning debut at Wexford on Saturday.

Racing over two miles and two furlongs in the Lingstown point-to-point flat race, the chesnut chased the leader for much of the way and led from two furlongs out. Pushed along approaching the final furlong, he ran on well to score by a length and three quarters under Darragh Allen.

“He is a nice horse and is for sale,” the winning trainer said after the race. “He has done everything really easy since we got him and we only have him since the start of September.”

Owned by Miss Louise Beresford, Henry Fox Brown was bred by Miss E Hamilton out of a half-sister to Mendip Express.
