Barry Connell’s colours were carried to victory at Downpatrick on Sunday by French import Holly Flight (5m Walk In The Park-Lover Flight, by Saint Cyrien), having her first Irish start.
The daughter of Walk In The Park (pictured in his racing days) finished third to Apple’s Jade on her only run in France and trainer Alan Fleming believes there is more to come after capturing the 2m 3f maiden hurdle.
"She's a nice filly, Barry bought her as a three-year-old out of France,” said Fleming. “She's a lovely filly and has shown us plenty. She's after growing since we got her and every time we were ready to run we sort of backed off.
"Denis (O'Regan) said she pricked her ears in front. Hopefully she might improve again. I'm not sure where we will go, it will probably be Fairyhouse or Punchestown with a bit of luck."
