Well Bred Son Of Maxios Impresses On Debut

The well-bred Chasing Fire (4g Maxios - Kahara, by Sadler’s Wells) lived up to expectations on debut when landing the Four-Year-Old Geldings Maiden at Tattersalls.

Sent off favourite for the eight runner contest, Denis Murphy’s charge chased the leaders for much of the way under Luke Murphy and improved into second approaching the turn for home. Ridden to challenge approaching the final fence, he soon led and ran on well to win by six lengths.

Chasing Fire is a half-brother to dual Group winner Karpino and was bred by Gestut Fahrhof out of a full-sister to leading NH sire Milan.
