Too Soon To Panic (Gleneagles) Wins Her Maiden At Cork

Gleneagles Filly Delivers On Early Promise

Connections may now seek black-type for Too Soon To Panic (3f Gleneagles - Scream Blue Murder, by Oratorio) after the Fozzy Stack-trained filly won the mile maiden at Cork on Sunday.

Owned by Cayton Park Stud and Mrs John Magnier, the bay boasted good form behind the likes of Cayenne Pepper (Australia) and Even So (Camelot) last season. Chris Hayes rode her to chase the leaders, asking her to quicken two furlongs from home and led entering the final furlong. Running on well, she held off the fast-finishing Federica Sophia (Galileo) to win by three parts of a length.

Bred by Coolmore and Drakenstein Stud out of their dual Stakes winner Scream Blue Murder, Too Soon To Panic is closely related to Stakes performer Wargrave (Galileo). She hails from the first crop of Gleneagles, which has produced four individual Stakes winners and another five black-type horses.
