Top Agents Bid Big For Order Of St George Foals

Agents Mags O’Toole and Aiden Murphy joined to secure a son of popular first crop sire Order Of St George at Tattersalls Ireland on Sunday, when going to €90,000 for Lot 374 from Ballyreddin Stud.

After signing for the half-brother to Listed bumper winner Tetlami, O’Toole said, “He’s from the first crop of an outstanding racehorse and he’s great example of the sire, who is getting really good-looking stock. Let’s hope he’s lucky.

Earlier in the session, O’Toole paired up with Chris Jones’ Killeen Glebe operation to purchase another first crop son of the Castlehyde Stud sire for €58,000. Offered by Ballyconnor House, the bay colt is the second foal out of four-time winner Floral Spinner, herself a half-sister to Grade 1 victor Sam Spinner.

The dam of multiple Grade 1 winner Bobs Worth was another high-class mare sent to Order Of St George in his first season at stud and the resulting filly sold to Coolmara Stables for €55,000 on Sunday afternoon.
