$385,000 Colt for American Pharoah
In a big day for Coolmore America sires at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale, American Pharoah was the latest in the headlines when his colt out of Red Carpet Miss sold for $385,000 to Team Casse as the third most expensive of the day late in the session.
Bred by Springhouse Farm, Crosshaven Bloodstock, and Circular Road Breeders, the colt was consigned by Paramount Sales as agent. The colt is out of a daughter of multiple Grade III winner Stylish, who is also the granddam of stakes winning Multiplayer. The colt’s fourth dam is classic winner L’Attrayante.
American Pharoah has proven to be in demand this yearling season with his yearlings led by an $8.2 million filly at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. He is one of only two stallions to have multiple yearlings sell for $300,000 or more at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale
The leading First Crop sire, American Pharoah has 18 winners, including four stakes winners. The stallion has five 2-year-old pre-entered in next week’s Breeders’ Cup.
