American Pharoah’s Another Miracle Wins My Frenchman Stakes
Another Miracle (3c American Pharoah x Retraceable, by Medaglia d’Oro) ended a strong weekend for Coolmore America sires on Sunday when he won the Listed My Frenchman S. at Monmouth Park to give the Triple Crown winner a fifth stakes winner in 2020.
Happy to race just a few lengths off dueling leaders in midpack for most of the 5 ½ furlong race on turf rated good, Another Miracle bided his time on the rail until they turned into the stretch. Jockey Paco Lopez piloted his mount to the outside for the closing run and Another Miracle found another gear to build a head of steam up the center of the track.
Last year’s Grade II Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint third took over the lead in the final sixteenth of a mile and crossed the line half a length in front for his second career stakes victory.
A Listed stakes winner at Saratoga last summer, Another Miracle finished third behind American Pharoah’s Four Wheel Drive last year and was making his second start of 2020 in this race for trainer Joseph Orseno and owners Jonathan and Leonard Green.
Bred by Betz, J. Betz, CHNNHK, D.J Stables, Lamantia, CoCo and Ramsby, he is one of three winners out of Listed winning Retraceable. Another Miracle’s dam is the second stakes producer for her Listed-placed dam Embraceable with Listed winning half-sister Maritime Passion the dam of Grade II winning Passion For Action.
One of 10 stakes winners under his first three dams, Another Miracle is one of eight stakes winners and 19 stakes horses overall for Champion Freshman Sire American Pharoah with the stallion siring 41 individual winners.
