Echo Town Filly Much the Best In Debut

Elegant Echo (2f Echo Town x Violation, by Violence) was the latest winner for Echo Town on Saturday night when the filly won a Remington Park Maiden Special Weight.

Making her debut in the five-furlong dirt race, Elegant Echo was fast away from the gate and almost immediately entered a duel for the lead. A quarter of a mile into the race, Elegant Echo got her head in front and it didn’t take long to start building a lead.

Confidently handled throughout the turn and in the stretch, Elegant Echo galloped to a 5 ¾ length victory with the third-place runner 8 ½ lengths behind her.

Trained by Alan Williams for the Edward B. Melzer Revocable Trust, she was bred by Circle Bar H out of eight-time winner Violation. That mare is a half-sister to the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Informative and the granddam of stakes placed Salvador Dali.

This is also the family of Grade I winners El Corredor and Roman Ruler in addition to Grade III winners Silver Tornado, Seducer’s Song, and Rydilluc.

A Grade I winner on the track, Echo Town now has six winners to put him sixth among all freshman sires.
