First Mares In Foal to Golden Pal Headed to Keeneland November

Thirty-six of the mares who visited dual Breeders’ Cup winner Golden Pal during his first season at stud are set to make an appearance at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale over the next two weeks just down the hill from where he scored his first Breeders’ Cup victory.

Most of those offerings come in the first three books, starting in the middle of Book 1.

That mare is Hip 74, the graded stakes-winning Morticia consigned by Lane’s End. Carrying her second foal on a February 21 cover, she is one of four winners from six to race out of the three-time winning Halloween Party. Halloween Party is a half-sister to Grade III-placed Equestrio and stakes placed Veiled Prophet out of a Storm Cat half-sister to Group winners Lucayan Prince and Silver Comic.

Taylor Made Sales-offered Hip 550 is Zazzy Zazzy Zazzy, a 4-year-old carrying a Golden Pal foal on a February 20 cover.

The mare is out of the Bernardini mare Oblige, whose two winners include Grade I winner Hunter O’Riley. Oblige is a sixth-generation stakes producer with her own dam producing two stakes winners and four stakes performers overall. Zazzy Zazzy Zazzy’s third dam is the stakes winning Playcaller, who produced Grade I winner Diplomat Lady and Grade II winner and producer Dream Play.

The foal Zazzy Zazzy Zazzy is carrying is bred on the same cross Uncle Mo son x Union Rags daughter cross as Grade I placed Awake At Midnyte.

Coming from a strong producing family is Hip 902, Stylishly. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, the two-time winning mare is out of multiple graded stakes winner and Grade I-placed Always A Princess, who has produced two winners from two to race. Always a Princess is a half-sister to dual Grade I winner Gabby’s Golden Gal and the dams of stakes winner Life Mission and stakes-placed Maksud.

They are all out of the stakes winner and Grade II-placed Gabriellina Giof, one of two stakes producers out of Paola Quatraro.

A stakes producing granddaughter of Oatsee sells through Ashview Farm as Hip 940.

A multiple placed mare on the track, Tizasong produced the stakes placed Spicy Marg as her first foal. Tizasong is also the dam of two other winners and a placed runner from her four foals with her 2-year-old breaking her maiden on October 19.

Tizasong is a half-sister to stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Florida Won and stakes placed Grand Journey with their dam a half-sister to Grade I winners Shackleford and Lady Joanne among five stakes winners.

A half-sister to Uncle Mo’s three-time Grade I winner Bast sells as Hip 1223 from Legacy Bloodstock in foal on a March 21 cover.

Their Arch dam is a half-sister to Grade II winner and Grade I-placed Mananan Mclir and two other stakes winners out of the stakes placed St Lucinda. The family is full of stakes performers with those under the first two dams including 11 stakes winners, led by Grade I winners Fault and Juju’s Map and Grade II winner Fioretti.

Hunter Valley Farm sends Madera Dancer through the ring as Hip 1573 in foal to Golden Pal.

A daughter of the stakes winning Maxxi Arte, Madera Dancer is a proven stakes producer with five winners from six runners. The group includes Group II winner Legends of War and Justify’s stakes placed Tahoma. She one of five stakes producers on the page with the stakes performers including the stakes winners Pride Dancer and Have Dancer and Grade I placed Liyoun.

Madera Dancer foaled a colt by another Uncle Mo son in Grade I Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist in 2022 and a Mendelssohn filly this year.
